Burgerville wins
April 15, 2007
VANCOUVER, Wash. — Cable television's Food Network has recognized Burgerville, part of The Holland Inc.'s restaurant group, with its "Better Burger" Award.
According to a news release, the Food Network selected Burgerville because of its use of local, seasonal ingredients and its use of wind power as an energy source for its restaurants.
The honor was awarded at Food Network's first ever Food Network Awards ceremony, televised on April 15.
"Burgerville's commitment to fresh, local, seasonal ingredients, coupled with its use of wind power contributed largely to their being chosen for this award," said Bruce Seidel, senior vice president, program planning and special projects for Food Network. "We are proud to showcase Burgerville as one of the winners of our Food Network Awards, which celebrated food, pop culture and innovation."
Burgerville was selected to win the "Better Burger" award category by an internal panel led by Food Network Kitchens, which represents all departments at the network. The red carpet awards gala was filmed in Miami Beach, Florida, and hosted by Emeril Lagasse.
