BurgerFi targets DC area for expansion

August 14, 2018

BurgerFi is opening in the D.C. area, according to a press release.

"Our aim is to change people's perception of the better burger experience," Franchise Development Manager Graham Buckley said in the release.

BurgerFi holds a strong presence in the Southeast region and continues to see steady growth in the Northeast. Due to its rapid expansion in the eastern region of the country, the contemporary burger concept views the D.C. area as a natural next step in its franchise development initiatives.

Buckley said franchisees in the region, including Manuel Sanchez in Silver Spring, are already seeing success

Sanchez explored more than 50 financial investment opportunities before deciding he was most intrigued by the fast casual segment of the franchising industry.

"The potential for growth was most alluring," he said, when asked why he decided to stake his claim in BurgerFi's franchise opportunity. "It has a unique combination of healthy ingredients, a feel-good atmosphere and tremendous devotion to customer satisfaction."

BurgerFi's growth momentum continues with a goal of opening at least 20 locations in 2018. In addition to those openings, BurgerFi is focusing its development initiatives along the East Coast, including Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania and New York.

Franchisees interested in joining BurgerFi's growing system — both in D.C. and beyond — can expect their initial investment to range from $670,400 to $973,250.
