Buffalo Wild Wings opens Traverse City unit

One of Michigan's most popular tourist destinations just opened its first Buffalo Wild Wings unit. The restaurant, located in Traverse City, is operated by Diversified Restaurant Holdings and is the 20th company-owned outlet.

The new Buffalo Wild Wings opened Feb. 7 in front of the Grand Traverse Mall.

“Traverse City is one of the most popular year-round travel destinations in Michigan with the Grand Traverse Mall being the premier shopping destination for locals and vacationers alike," said T. Michael Ansley, president and CEO of DRH. "We're very excited about this opening not only due to the high opening day volume, but also because it's our first for 2011 and the first of three restaurants we will open this month."

Traverse City recently ranked as the second most charming town in America by Tripadvisor.com. In 2009, Money Magazine ranked Traverse City No. 3 on the list of 25 best places to retire in America.
