Bubbakoo's rolling into Utah

Bubbakoo's Burritos, a Mexican-fusion restaurant chain, will open its first Utah location this week in Orem, offering free burritos to the first 50 guests.

The restaurant, 37 W. University Parkway, near Utah Valley University and Brigham Young University, is owned and operated by Loco Rico LLC, a multi-unit operator with more than 40 years in the quick-service restaurant industry. It is the first of more than five planned locations for Utah over the next three years.

"We're excited to introduce guests across Orem and Utah to the unique flavor of Bubbakoo's Burritos," a representative for Loco Rico said in a company press release. "We can't wait for friends and family members throughout Orem to enjoy our diverse array of flavors."

Founded in 2018, the company has grown from its roots in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, to over 100 locations across 16 states.

"Expanding into Utah — especially in a dynamic city like Orem — is a milestone moment for Bubbakoo's," Chris Ives, CEO of Bubbakoo's Burritos, said in the release. "We're excited to introduce our bold flavors and unique guest experience to a brand-new region."
