Bruegger's sprawls to Alaska

BURLINGTON, VT. — Bruegger's Enterprises Inc. announced it will expand to Alaska.  The company signed an agreement April 20 with a new franchise group to develop five cafes in Anchorage and Fairbanks by 2010.

 

According to a news release, Alaska Bagel Enterprises, led by Audrey Ranstead, plans to open its first Bruegger's bakery-café in late summer, early fall 2006.  Bruegger's operates 242 bakeries in 17 states, with approximately 146 company-owned units and 96 franchised units.
