Bruegger's and the Children's Miracle Network have teamed up to raise money for 170 children's hospitals in America starting on Oct. 27. Bruegger's hopes to raise $100,000 this year.
"We have a strong commitment to our local communities," said Bruegger's CEO, Jim Greco. "Children's Miracle Network reflects these core values and allows everyone associated with Bruegger's—our guests, employees and franchisees—to make miracles happen in their own neighborhoods."
Today kicks off the fundraiser, and Bruegger's, which has 299 locations in 26 states, plans to donate a portion of the sales from purchases of the Bottomless Mug Club. By purchasing the mug, customers will be able to enjoy unlimited free refills for a year and will help out the Children's Miracle network.
To give its customers something special, Bruegger's will host a Free Coffee Day on Wednesday, Nov. 10 until 2 p.m. at all locations. In addition, customers will also be able to give a little extra by throwing their donations in containers at the registers.
"By raising money for Children’s Miracle Network, Bruegger's is giving its customers an opportunity to help kids and families in their communities while enjoying a cup of their favorite coffee," said Shirley Rogers, senior vice president, Children's Miracle Network. "Each dollar stays local, so Bruegger's customers will be supporting a children's hospital near them."
Bruegger's estimates Bottomless Mug Club members save more than $300 each year by taking advantage of the year long refills of coffee, tea and soda. The mugs are sold at all locations and are available while supplies last.
