Bruegger’s new items mark the New Year

January 5, 2011

Bruegger’s has run in the New Year with new permanent and limited-time additions to its menu.

The chain has added fresh-poured orange juice, not from concentrate, which is available all day. It also is bringing back its “Fresh Start” menu, which pairs a 16-ounce glass of OJ with one of the café’s egg and cheese bagel sandwiches – available with bacon, ham or sausage – for $4.99.

The menu pairing is also available with Bruegger’s maple and sausage egg sandwich through March. The item features a french toast bagel and Vermont maple cream cheese topped with sausage and an egg.

This season’s “Bakers Choice” item is the french toast bagel and Vermont maple cream cheese served with golden french toast coffee. Bruegger’s Chef Philip Smith created the combination.

All of Bruegger’s breakfast sandwiches are now available with egg whites.

For lunch, the company’s “Choose Two” pairing is now available, with a half-deli sandwich served on bakery bread with a cup of soup. Soup options vary based on location, and most are less than 300 calories per serving.

Finally, Bruegger’s new cinnamon crunch bagel – with cinnamon bagel dough and topped with crunchy cinnamon streusel – is now available.
