Bruegger's expands to Pittsburgh International Airport

February 28, 2012

Bruegger's is set to open at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) in May, its fifth airport location in the U.S. The brand will serve its oven-baked bagels, soups and sandwiches in Concourse B.

The agreement was led by Airmall USA, an airport concessions developer in North America and operator of the Airmall at PIT.

"We're pleased that a well-known favorite like Bruegger's will be joining our concessions program at the Airmall at PIT this spring," said Jay Kruisselbrink, vice president of development for Airmall Pittsburgh. "From freshly brewed coffee and bagels out of the oven to salads and sandwiches, Bruegger's has something for passengers to enjoy any time of day."

Bruegger's will offer a variety of items that include unique cream cheese flavors, breakfast sandwiches, hand-tossed salads, hearty soups, sandwiches, paninis and desserts, with a frequently changing menu reflecting seasonal and geographical specialties.

Bruegger's joins several other food and beverage units that have recently signed a lease to open storefronts at the Airmall at PIT in 2012, including The Burgh Sportz Pubs, Auntie Anne's and Cinnabon.
