Bruegger's expands into Phoenix

BURLINGTON, Vt. — Bruegger's Enterprises Inc. announced Feb. 16 it has secured an agreement to expand its bakery-cafe locations in Arizona.

Under the new franchise agreement, Rick Cowley and his franchise group, TBM, Inc., will develop five new bakery-cafes in the Phoenix area, primarily around Chandler, Gilbert and North Scottsdale.

Site selection is underway for the first unit, which is planned to open later this year. There are currently three Bruegger's bakery-cafes in the Phoenix area.

Bruegger's plans to open 50 bakeries in 2007 and another 50 in 2008. The company recently marked its 11th consecutive quarter of growth. Read also, Bruegger's keeps on rollin'.
