Through a partnership with social media marketing group SocialGrub, Bruegger’s has developed a Facebook app that will let current and new fans download up to six free songs by indie-rock favorites such as The Almost and Seabird.
To access the free downloads, Facebook users can click on one of Bruegger’s Facebook ads promoting the offer, or on the tab dedicated to the “Music Showcase” on Bruegger’s Facebook page. Users need only to “like” Bruegger’s first, then gain access to music samples and downloads. The site also features links to the artists’ websites and other information about the music.
“It’s a great perk for our loyal Facebook fans,” said Holly Ryan, director of Social Marketing for Bruegger’s. “We love their feedback and want to thank them for it.”
The music download application was developed specifically for Bruegger’s by Metablocks Inc. and SocialGrub, a service of Restaurant eMarketing that develops social media marketing tools for the restaurant and retail industry.
“Everyone benefits from this campaign,” Sam Rubin, “chief grub” at SocialGrub, said. “Bruegger’s fans are treated to free downloads, while the bands have a chance to exhibit their newest works to a wider audience.”
Bruegger’s has seen extraordinary growth on its Facebook page in recent months. The brand has added nearly 60,000 new fans since May, when it announced the “Everything Else is Just Toast” campaign, which offered Facebook users a coupon to taste Bruegger’s authentic bagel.
