Bruegger's announces expansion into Kentucky

Bruegger's Enterprises Inc. have signed a development deal with Scott and Kim Berger to open three locations in the Louisville, Ky., area, the first scheduled for late 2010. The bakeries will be the first in the Kentucky market outside of the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Airport.

Both born and raised in Kentucky, Scott and Kim Berger are longtime business owners in Louisville. Together, they own and run Laser Design & Engraving, an active sponsor of the community.

"Kim and I were attracted to Bruegger's because of its commitment and involvement in local communities and its healthy breakfast and lunch options," said Scott Berger. "We know Bruegger's high quality, original menu items and warm, friendly environment will be embraced by the residents of Louisville."
