Brooklyn Dumpling Shop signs deal for New Jersey mall

Brooklyn Dumpling Shop, a zero human-interaction concept, will soon have a location within the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, New Jersey, marking its first appearance at a non-traditional location.

"After being involved in franchising for as long as I have, it's very exciting to see the creativity and the potential of the Brooklyn Dumpling Shop concept," franchisee Tom Graziano said in a company release. "I'm delighted to become a franchisee and am looking forward to bringing the unique dumpling creations to Wayne and the shoppers of Willowbrook Mall."

The two-year-old brand opened its flagship location last year in the East Village in New York and is on track to develop 250 units within two years. It offers a 24-hour contactless ordering system and temperature-controlled food lockers to provide easy and safe pick-up options, said Stratis Morfogen, owner of Brooklyn Dumpling Shop.

"I love when I meet someone who is as passionate and excited to show the customer a new way of ordering and enjoying fast-casual experiences," he said in the release. "Tom and I hit it off immediately — our vision of the Brooklyn Dumpling Shop guest experience is aligned, and I am excited to add him to our impressive and growing roster of franchisees."

Brooklyn Dumpling Shop features 32 dumpling varieties including Pastrami, Bacon Cheese Burger, Lamb Gyro, French Onion Soup, Philly Cheesesteak, Impossible and Reuben and Peanut Butter & Jelly.
