Big Chicken opening inside New York arena

Just two weeks after announcing that it was opening inside Seattle's Climate Pledge Arena, which is home to the NHL'S Seattle Kraken and WNBA's Seattle Storm, Shaquille O'Neal-owned Big Chicken said it was coming to New York's UBS Arena at Belmont Park, which will feature live music and be home to the New York Islanders Hockey Club when it opens later this month. O'Neal is visiting the area Thursday to make the news official, along with representatives from UBS Arena, Delaware North, the arena's foodservice provider, and Blue Line Deli & Bagels, which collaborated with Big Chicken on a specialty sandwich for the arena.
Big Chicken has locations open in Las Vegas and in Glendale, California, and is also available to guests vacationing on the Carnival Mardi Gras cruise ship.
Located on the historic grounds of Belmont Park, UBS Arena is located less than 15 miles from both JFK and LaGuardia Airports. Upcoming events include Eric Church on Dec. 4, Genesis Dec.10 and a sold-out Sebastian Maniscalco on Dec. 27.
