Besties opening Capriotti's in Tulsa

Friends and Oklahoma natives, Stan Swyden and Glen Bawcum, have taken their 35-year friendship to the next level by becoming partners and opening a Capriotti's Sandwich Shop in Broken Arrow at 915 East Kenosha St., in Tulsa.

The duo first met during their freshman year at East Central University while playing on the varsity tennis team and have always wanted to go into business together, according to a company press release.

"Broken Arrow is a consistently growing and thriving community and we are excited to give back by partnering with local programs, public schools, and sports teams," Swyden said in the release. "Capriotti's hand-crafted sandwiches and bold flavors are completely head and shoulders above any sandwich we have ever tried, and we're looking forward to bringing this experience to our neighbors and enhance the local food scene in Broken Arrow."

Broken Arrow Capriotti's fans may download the CAPAddicts Rewards app on iOS and Android to earn and redeem rewards and score free food. The restaurant also features online ordering as well as catering with items such as party trays with cold subs, box lunches or a hot meatball bar.

Founded in 1976, Capriotti's Sandwich Shop has over 100 locations across the U.S.
