Beefsteak making Ohio debut inside Cleveland Clinic

December 15, 2017

Beefsteak is opening its first Ohio location in March 2018.

Chef José Andrés, who created the vegetable-centric concept nearly three years ago in Washington D.C., has partnered with Bon Appétit Management to open the chain's sixth location, this one in the renowned academic hospital, the Cleveland Clinic, according to a company press release.

Andrés launched his first location with Bon Appétit, a subsidiary of Compass Group USA, last summer at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. As part of a natural progression of the partnership, Andrés' company — ThinkFoodGroup — and Compass have signed an exclusive three-year deal to conceptualize, launch and execute concepts across Compass Group's venues, according to the release.

"We're thrilled to continue strengthening our relationship with Bon Appetit and make our debut in the Ohio market at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic, said Eric Martino, COO of ThinkFoodGroup's' FastGood concepts. We believe that our concept is a natural fit for the new café at the Crile Building."
