FSC Franchise Co., the parent company of Tampa-based Beef' O' Brady's and The Brass Tap, is getting in the chicken game with The Hatchery. Although the fast casual concept initially opened to the public as a ghost kitchen for only delivery and carry-out orders, it made its brick-and-mortar debut Monday in a 2,400-square-foot space at 201 N. Dale Mabry Hwy. in Tampa, according to a company press release.
The menu features 100% natural and hormone-free chicken items, including sandwiches, tenders, smoked wings, salads and a variety of dipping sauces. Guests may order and eat in or choose carryout or delivery.
"We're thrilled to bring The Hatchery to Tampa and are hopeful that this new concept will quickly become a staple in the community," The Hatchery CEO Chris Elliott said in the release. "After opening up The Hatchery ghost kitchen and finding ways to improve the model and experience for our customers, we're ready to enter this new segment and look forward to what's ahead for this great new brand."
The opening coincides with Beef 'O' Brady's 35-year-anniversary during a pivotal time in the restaurant industry, as many restaurant brands have struggled to stay afloat, Elliott said. Beef 'O' Brady's and The Brass Tap, however, have reopened and have reported increased sales YOY for many franchise owners.
The Hatchery, which will open its second location next year, will begin franchising over the next six to nine months and is exploring the possibility of adding drive-thrus to future locations.
