Beautiful Brands adds create-your-own sushi concept to portfolio

Beautiful Brands International (BBI) has announced the official franchise launch of its new fast casual concept, Sushi Freak. The create-your-own sushi concept is in a franchise campaign targeting all 50 states and select nations around the world. BBI expects 50 stores open and operating by the end of the first quarter 2013.

“There’s no question the sushi product niche is hotter than ever before,” said David Rutkauskas, BBI founder, president and CEO. “Our franchise concept is about re-inventing what people have come to expect from a typical sushi restaurant. We allow customers to see their order being made fresh and have their food custom made just for them. Whatever the combo of flavors they desire, it doesn’t matter—at Sushi Freak the customer is always right and our sushi is always the freshest available.”

The agreement between Sushi Freak and Beautiful Brands International will utilize BBI’s organizational and support system to market and franchise the brand on a national and global scale. BBI’s support will include marketing, real estate, architecture, legal, franchise sales and other aspects of franchise development.

The concept was founded in 2010 in San Diego, Calif., by Michael Broder and Jenifer Duarte.
