Big Easy-based Blaze bites back with gator sausage offering

Blaze Fast Fire'd Pizza is opening a New Orleans location this month and is offering free build-your-own pies on Friday, Feb. 17 with a little something local among the choices. The free pies start at 11 a.m. for all customers who follow the restaurant on Instagram,  Twitter or Facebook, according to a news release. 

The 2,400-square-foot location on Freret Street also offers wine and beer, along with local Louisiana specialties like alligator sausage and muffuletta spread. The new location is also partnering with Loyola University's University Honors Program to donate a portion of proceeds from Thursday's grand opening back to the school.
