Barrio Burrito Bar opens in Delaware

Canada-born Barrio Burrito Bar has opened in Delaware, marking the latest expansion for the Tex-Mex franchise.

The restaurant, located at 66 Hyatts Rd., is operated by Bob, Pranay and Ashish Patel, who bring over 20 years of restaurant industry experience to the venture.

"We've always loved creating memorable experiences through food, and bringing Barrio Burrito Bar to Delaware gives our family the chance to do that on a bigger scale," Pranay Patel said in a company press release.

The menu features customizable burritos, bowls and tacos with a variety of proteins, including slow-roasted carnitas and grilled vegetables. Signature items include the brand's "Extreme Fries" and house-made salsas prepared daily. The location offers dine-in service, online ordering and third-party delivery.

Since entering the U.S. market in 2020, Barrio Burrito Bar has grown rapidly. The company currently has more than 1,600 franchised units under development nationwide.

Barrio Burrito Bar's roots trace back to Canada, where its affiliate barBURRITO, has over 400 locations across Canada.
