Bangin' Buns, a Nashville hot chicken chain founded in California, is opening a flagship location Wednesday in Artesia, California.
"What started as a group of friends serving hot chicken in a small San Fernando Valley parking lot has now become an energetic community of Bangin' Buns fanatics across Southern California," Nick Nshanyan, founder of Bangin' Buns, said in a company press release. "We're excited to bring our Nashville hot chicken sandwich recipe on our delicious hoagie-French rolls to Artesia."
Bangin' Buns launched in 2018 when a group of friends in the San Fernando Valley — Nshanyan, Gary Shahbazyan, Sam Manvelyan, and Arman Grigoryan — started cooking Nashville Hot Chicken in each other's homes. The chicken is served on a hoagie-style French roll, instead of the traditional hamburger bun, which makes their sandwiches easier to eat and take on the go, Nshanyan said.
Bangin' Buns also has locations in North Hollywood and South Central.
