Bambu, a Vietnamese drink chain, plans to expand its footprint in North America with its fresh dessert drink including the Che, fruit smoothies and Vietnamese coffee, according to a press release.

Che is a slightly sweet drink with a variety of ingredients such as basil seeds, jellies, beans, taro paste and fruits. Each Bambu location offers more than 80 drink choices including boba teas, yogurt parfaits and more.

"Bambu offers a unique twist on delivering dessert-in-a-cup unlike any dessert beverage you can find on the market today," Marc Geman, CEO of Bambu Franchising LLC, said in the release. "We are excited to share our vast assortment of Asian-inspired drinks that create the perfect balance of sweetness and freshness nationwide."

Founded in 2008, Bambu has more than 70 locations in 22 states and Canada.
