Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii is brewing up expansion in the Southwest with a three-store agreement in Las Vegas, which follows two recent multi-unit deals in Phoenix, solidifying the brand's growth in the region.

Umang Patel, the franchisee behind the Las Vegas deal, is scouting locations for both traditional and non-traditional stores, aiming to open the first one within six months.

"Umang aligns perfectly with our vision," Scott Snyder, CEO of Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, said in a company press release. "His dedication to building a strong team and creating exceptional customer experiences makes him an ideal partner for our aggressive Las Vegas expansion."

Multi-unit deals are key to Bad Ass Coffee's strategy, with over 70% of the system already being multi-unit operators. The brand is seeking franchisees in the Southwest, Southeast, Texas and coastal markets, offering comprehensive support in territory selection, financing, real estate and construction.

Founded in 1989, Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii has over 30 U.S. franchise locations with 100+ more in development.
