Artichoke Basille's Pizza, a New York-based fast casual concept, has opened a location in downtown Hartford, Connecticut. This restaurant will offer a full bar alongside a menu with Artichoke's signature flavors such as the Artichoke Pie, Crab Pie and Staten Island Pie, according to a press release.
Founded in 2008, by cousins Francis Gracia and Sal Basille, Artichoke offers traditional toppings such as pepperoni, meatball and ricotta cheese along more unique toppings such as Surimi crab meat and artichoke cream sauce. All of Artichoke's pizzas are cooked in a deck oven rather than in a conveyor belt oven.
The concept operates 14 locations across the U.S., with plans for more franchised locations in New Jersey, Connecticut and Northern California.
