Chef Anourom Thomson is expanding his Kansas City culinary footprint next week when he opens a location of Anousone at the Strang Chef Collective at Lightwell, 1100 Main St., in Kansas City, Missouri, which joins the original location in Strang Hall in Overland Park, Kansas.
Strang Chef Collectives, which is a platform for local culinary talent and food entrepreneurs to showcase their skills and provide authentic chef-driven experiences, also has a third location in Kansas City, Missouri, according to a company press release.
Anousone, pronounced A-New-Sone, serves Southeast Asian-inspired comfort food, drawing from Thomson's journey as a refugee, who found solace in his mother's home cooking. Anousone provides a blend of flavors that pay homage to Laotian cuisine while incorporating Thomson's experience in American fare, said Thomson.
"I am thrilled to announce the grand opening of our new restaurant at Strang Chef Collective at Lightwell," Thomson said in a company press release. "This additional location will feature customer-approved dishes that meet our high-quality standards and reflect our commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience for busy professionals."
The Strang Chef Collective at Lightwell houses two food and beverage concepts covering 4,805 square feet with additional outdoor seating on Main Street.
"Anousone has been a long-time favorite at our flagship location in Downtown Overland Park," Shawn Craft, CEO of Strang Chef Collectives, said in a company press release. "We know that the Central Business District is hungry for fast casual lunch options that are also chef and season-driven. It was a no-brainer to expand this popular concept into multiple locations."
