Amsterdam Falafelshop wins 'Favorite Fast Bites' category at RAMMY Awards

Amsterdam Falafelshop was recently named winner of the "Favorite Fast Bites" category at the 32nd annual RAMMY Awards. RAMMY Awards recognize Washington, D.C.-area restaurants.

“It’s rewarding to know that Amsterdam Falafelshop’s tasty falafel and colorful salad toppers combined with our authentic funky atmosphere hit the mark with our guests…this is validation for all the hard work that goes into running and evolving our brand,” said Arianne Bennett, CEO of Amsterdam Falafelshop, in a company press release. “We are honored to win the most coveted local award in our competitive set and remain determined to carry on the tradition we are creating.”

Amsterdam Falafelshop beat out four other finalist to snag the award in its first year as a nominee. An anonymous panel of judges made up of food and dining journalists, educators and foodservice industry professionals selected the finalists in each of the categories. The public then voted for its favorite among the finalists.

Amsterdam Falafelshop has three shops in the D.C. area, one in Annapolis, Md., and one in Boston. Five more shops are in development for the D.C. area and three more in Boston. Additional shops are in planned for Salt Lake City and Dallas-Fort Worth.
