Amsterdam Falafelshop to expand presence nationwide

May 22, 2014

Amsterdam Falafelshop announced that it will open in the Clarendon area of Arlington, Va., under a franchising agreement with restaurateur David Rosenstein. Amsterdam Falafelshop also recently celebrated its 14th Street opening in Washington, D.C.

Another multiunit, multibrand team in Boston recently completed a deal to develop its second Amsterdam Falafelshop, which is scheduled to open later this year in Kenmore Square, according to a news release.

In addition to expanding throughout Washington, D.C., metro, Amsterdam Falafelshop is moving forward with a U.S. franchise growth plan calling for new shops in select urban centers. The company is accepting applications from qualified franchisees interested in further developing key U.S. areas throughout the Northeast, Eastern Seaboard, Midwest and Southeast. Target markets include the Washington, D.C., metro area and Baltimore, Atlanta, the Carolinas, Miami, Tampa, the New York metro area, Philadelphia and Richmond.

Amsterdam Falafelshop has also pinpointed metropolitan areas across the Midwest such as Chicago, Ohio and major metro markets in Texas.

There are three Amsterdam Falafelshop franchise locations currently operating — one in Annapolis, Md.; one in Washington, D.C.; and one in Boston. Five more shops are planned for the Greater D.C. area, three more in the Boston market and multiple locations are planned for Salt Lake City and Dallas-Fort Worth.
