Amsterdam Falafelshop has announced its largest multiunit franchise development agreement to date — a four-shop agreement to expand throughout Washington, D.C.
According to the company announcement, the deal was signed with David Rosenstein, a local restaurateur whose Metropolitan Restaurant Management has owned and operated multiple Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen restaurants throughout the area. The plan is to open Amsterdam Falafelshop units in the neighborhoods of Georgetown, DuPont Circle, Bethesda, Md., and Silver Spring, Md.
Rosenstein also recently signed a franchise agreement with Amsterdam Falafelshop to open a shop in Arlington, Va.’s Clarendon neighborhood at 3024 Wilson Blvd.
“David is a class act. Someone we’re proud to have in the Amsterdam Falafelshop family. We feel great about having his team grow the brand in D.C. and suburban Maryland,” CEO Arianne Bennett said in the release. “We’ve known Amsterdam Falafelshop was something special from the beginning. Having pros like David onboard is a clear validation of the strength of the concept.”
