American Roadside Burgers debuts in Columbia, S.C.

January 15, 2013

American Roadside Burgers has opened its first Columbia, S.C., location.

"Columbia is a great fit for our concept and we are very happy with the response we have received thus far," said Rich LaVecchia, CEO of American Roadside Burgers Inc.

The Charlotte, N.C.-based chain plans two South Carolina locations this year as part of its Southeast expansion plan. The second is set for Greenville, S.C., later this year.

American Roadside features Sterling Silver Premium beef burgers, chicken, salads, fries, onion rings and milkshakes, along with a wine and beer list. The locations offer a "flex casual" concept.

"Flex casual means that we offer quick and convenient ordering at the counter and then our staff will bring your food directly to your table," said Joe Numberger, director of operations. "Plus, we offer full service at our bar. We want our guests to have a warm and comfortable dining experience."

Columbia's American Roadside opened in the new Cross Hill development, anchored by Whole Foods Market.
