Amazon taps Starbucks COO for board role

Rosalind Brewer, Starbucks COO and a former Sam's Club CEO, is now on the Amazon board of directors.

Brewer, who has served as Starbuck's COO since Oct. 2017, will serve on the board's leadership development and compensation committee, according to a CNN report.

She also currently serves as a director at Starbucks, noted the report, and is the second black female to serve as an Amazon director and was the first woman and African-American female to head a Walmart division.
