Air Canada Centre, SCA Tissue partner

NEENAH, Wis. — Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment has announced a multiyear agreement that makes SCA Tissue North America the exclusive sanitary paper supplier to the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
 
The agreement means Tork products and systems will fill all of the sanitary paper needs of the Air Canada Centre, which is home to the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team, the Toronto Raptors basketball team, a major entertainment venue and office complex. Under the agreement, SCA Tissue is the official and exclusive partner of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors.
 
SCA's record of environmental responsibility and the eco-friendly advantages of using Tork products were cited as the major reasons for the agreement.
 
Based on the amount of Tork product it will use, Air Canada Centre says the environmentally friendly products and process of SCA Tissue will annually:
  • Save 210 cubic yards of landfill space and 1,192 mature trees, based on the use of 182,984 pounds of recycled paper
  • Save 488,000 gallons of water in manufacturing processes
  • Save 280,480 kilowatts of energy, enough to power 30 households annually
  • Save 154,284,000 BTUs of energy
  • Save 26,646 gallons of oil
  • Prevent 4,206 pounds of air pollutants
