800 Degrees Pizza heats up with new partnership

Murfey Ventures is now investing in 800 Degrees Pizza. This new partnership is allowing 800 Degrees to expand in area and corporate development as well as international licensing.

Scott Berkowitz, a real estate and hotel franchise expert is now operating as chief executive officer. Steve Overholt, a management and hospitality expert, is the new chief development officer with the chain, which has locations in California, Nevada, Illinois, Japan and Dubai.

"We are extremely excited to receive this significant investment. Beyond just growth capital, the addition of strategic resources, including our new CEO and CDO, will position 800 Degrees to continue to be the premium quality player in the fast casual pizza segment," said 800 Degrees founder and Chef Anthony Carron.
