Workers at a Chipotle near Penn State University in State College, Pennsylvania, shut down the restaurant Wednesday in protest over working conditions, according to the Huffington Post.

Disgruntled workers locked the door and posted the following note:

Want to know why were (sic) closed?

Ask our corporate offices why their employees are forced to work in borderline sweatshop conditions. Almost the entire crew and management have resigned.

Trend it, help spread the awareness: #Chipotle, #ChipotleSwag

A regional manager reopened the store at 5 p.m., according to the report.

A spokesman for Chipotle refuted the claim that nearly all staff had resigned.

“Our Penn State restaurant was closed when a few employees quit, locking out a majority of others who are enthusiastic to return to work,” Chipotle Spokesman Chris Arnold told The Huffington Post in an email.
