BRIX Holdings announced the additions of Souper Salad and Greenz to its portfolio.
"These acquisitions are consistent with our focus on healthier menus driving a healthy business opportunity," CEO Joe Vitrano said in a company press release. "Both brands have the potential to expand in the fast growing segment of the food industry focused on consumers' healthier eating choices."
As part of the acquisitions, Dan Hernandez will remain president of Souper Salad and Scott McIntosh, head of franchising and real estate for Souper Salad, will join the BRIX franchise development team for all of the BRIX brands.
Souper Salad has 37 locations primarily in the Southwest.
BRIX Holdings plans to enhance the product offering, upgrade the branding, update existing locations and utilize BRIX marketing, real estate, and franchising infrastructure to expand the concept, according to the release.
Greenz is a Dallas-based cafe with two locations serving salads, soups and wraps.
"The essence of Souper Salad is on trend and is in a good position to prosper with the application of BRIX resources and experience," Vitrano said. "Greenz is in an early stage and its unique menu provides BRIX with an excellent starting point for further concept development and eventual expansion."
