Johnny Rockets entering Poland

Johnny Rockets has signed a development deal with HDS Polska Group to build and operate 10 Johnny Rockets restaurants over the next 10 years in Poland. The group plans to open its first Johnny Rockets restaurant in Warsaw, according to a company press release.

HDS Polska Group is a subsidiary of publicly traded company Lagardère Services. After almost 20 years of presence in Poland, it operates a network of more than 800 outlets in the Polish market including convenience stores, coffee shops and full-service restaurants. 

“Our expansion into Poland marks Johnny Rockets’entry into our 27th country, paving the way for future growth in Europe, particularly France, Germany, United Kingdom and other major European markets,” said James Walker, president of operations and development for Johnny Rockets. “With an established reputation of providing Polish consumers with new and successful travel, retail and foodservice concepts, HDS Polska Group is the ideal partner to introduce Johnny Rockets¹ all-American dining experience to the Polish market.”

The brand is committed to franchise growth in domestic and international markets and has found great partners around the world to help position it for continued success, said Charles Bruce, president and CEO of Johnny Rockets.

Johnny Rockets' first restaurant in Poland is expected to open in early 2016. The franchise partners currently operate more than 125 restaurants outside the U.S., and the brand’s global plan is to double that number by 2017, according to a company press release.
