Fast casual pizzeria adding delivery

Persona Pizzeria is starting the new year off by launching a delivery service.

"Until now, we have refrained from offering delivery service because we wanted to be sure that every customer gets the quality pizza they would get in the pizzeria itself," said Glenn Cybulski, CEO and co-founder of the fast casual brand. "We have now put together a system that will make that possible, including becoming one of the few pizza chains that uses our own staff rather than third parties to make deliveries. This ensures that our franchisees have the tools they need to be successful and build a strong repeat business among customers who want a great pizza at an affordable price without leaving home."

Cybulski said employees will do the following to ensure guests are satisfied:

  • Won't slice pizza before it's delivered, because Cybulski said he wants to preserve all the flavors of the pizzas for the guest at home. Instead, drivers will attach individually wrapped plastic pizza cutters to each order.
  • Use heated pizza containers and special-leveling devices, so toppings and cheese stay in place.
  • Use special box liners that allow the crust to "breath" thus keeping it crispier and fresher upon arrival.

Guests may order via phone or the chain's website or mobile app, Cybulski.
