1000 Degrees Neapolitan Pizza opened last month in Massachusetts. The unit at 45 Court St., in Boston is the state's first location but is the 28th nationwide.

"There is a tremendous amount of excitement to introduce the people of Boston to true, classic Neapolitan pizza," Ken Pasquariello, owner of the Boston unit, said in a company press release."From our authentic Neapolitan flavors to the incredible array of toppings, homemade sauces and crust options, I know that 1000 Degrees is going to fan the flames of Boston's cravings for a truly one-of-a-kind pizza experience."

Originating in Galloway, New Jersey, 1000 Degrees serves classic Neapolitan pizzas fired at 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit in a custom, handmade, revolving Neapolitan brick oven, according to the release.

"Ken is exactly the type of franchisee that we were looking for in Boston," said Brian Petruzzi, CEO and founder of 1000 Degrees. "He's an important part of the 1000 Degrees family, and we look forward to seeing him grow his business in Boston."

Since launching in 2014, the brand has ignited significant growth across the country, with more than 75 locations open and in development across the country.
