Outside Swich Pressed, the one-unit fast casual founded by CEO John Gargiulo. The restaurant is located on 8th Ave. in New York City and features a menu of pressed, panini-style sandwiches, soups and homemade potato chips.
The Swich Pressed interior features a green and white color scheme and seating for about 40. The ingredients used for sandwiches are chopped fresh daily and drinks feature the brand’s homemade banana lemonade.
Swich CEO John Gargiulo opened Swich Pressed in New York City in 2006. Gargiulo has plans to open a second Manhattan location later this year near Wall Street.
Swich’s French Toast bagel with homemade apple butter and the Farmer’s Favorite. The Farmer’s Favorite features eggs, ham and goat cheese.
Another breakfast favorite is the Inigo Montoya, named after a character from "The Princess Bride" movie. The sandwich features eggs, steak, cilantro, tomatos and chipotle sauce.
The menu board at Swich Pressed showcases sandwiches such as Buffalo Hot Pants, featuring grilled chicken smothered in homemade buffalo sauce with crumbled blue cheese and pressed between slices of French bread.
Swich employees arrive early in the morning to prepare ingredients. Avocados, tomatoes and other items are chopped fresh daily. The restaurant also uses homemade tzatziki sauce for its Trojan Horse swich.
