Smashburger recently opened a store at 11309 Bandera Road in San Antonio, Texas. The store marks the company’s 16th location in the Lone Star State, with another opening this month in Burleson.
Smashburger features a clean, modern interior. A typical franchise agreement is for five to 10 or more locations. Potential franchisees also must have a minimum financial net worth of $2 million and liquidity of $500,000.
Cook Ali Mansourinia smashes an Angus beef patty on the flat top grill. Smashburger is named for the cooking method used to create the burgers. Smashburger starts with fresh Angus Beef, smashed, seared and seasoned.
Smashburgers Texas-themed BBQ, Bacon & Cheese burger retails at $5.99 for 1/3 pound, $6.99 for ½ pound, and includes BBQ sauce, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar and Haystack Onions on an egg bun.
Smashburger’s menu includes a mix of proprietary “better” burgers, hot dogs, premium sides, salads and desserts. Beer and wine also are available for purchase.
Most a la carte meals at Smashburger come out to under $10. “Smashsides” are a dollar less with purchase of a burger.
Smashfries are tossed with rosemary, olive oil and garlic.
