Three U.S. markets, including Jack in the Box stores in San Diego and Willy’s Mexicana Grill in Atlanta are testing the dispenser in Atlanta have reported double digit increases in total beverage transactions during the past year.
The Freestyle is available in three colors. More options, including a drive-thru version, are in development.
The Freestyle features a touch screen user interface that allows customers to choose from more than 100 Coca-Cola branded drinks. Choices include water, juice, tea and carbonated beverages.
After choosing their type of Coca-Cola branded beverage, the interface then allows customers to choose among various flavors within that category, such as Coke Classic, Cherry Coke or Coke with Raspberry.
The inline dispensing unit allows users to control the amount of ice and beverage in their cup.
The Freestyle uses microdosing technology and high concentrate oils to dispense the beverages, replacing the need for bulky five-gallon bag-in-box containers. Changing the concentrate is as simple as changing out the cassette.
