Dec. 12, 2012

With more than 200 locations in the U.S., Mexico and Guam, Yogurtland's next target is Australia. The company has signed a 50-store development agreement with Entrepreneur Paul Siderovski. The first location will open in McArthur Square, Campelltown, Sydney in January 2013.

Siderovski and his team are planning to open 10 to 12 locations by the end of 2013. Each Yogurtland shop will employ between 20 and 25 people.

"Bringing Yogurtland to Australia is an exciting milestone for our company's growth. We are confident Paul and his team will be very successful and consumers will be delighted by the Yogurtland brand," said Larry Sidoti, vice president of Franchise Development at Yogurtland.

Yogurtland opened its first location in Fullerton, Calif., in 2006 and is expanding throughout the United States as well as internationally. The company is actively seeking qualified franchisees throughout the U.S. and for international expansion.

Last year Yogurtland served more than 49 million cups of frozen yogurt.
