Schlotzsky's this week unveiled its growth plan for 2013, in which the chain hopes to open 50 locations nationwide.
If this goal is reached, the brand's president, Kelly Roddy, has agreed to shave his head.
Schlotzsky's, which is owned by FOCUS Brands, is close to having 400 locations open nationwide, including 200 tri-banded locations that include other FOCUS Brands Cinnabon and Carvel.
In 2012, Schlotzsky's sold licenses to 100 tri-branded locations. The fast casual chain has found that stores with the three locations see higher sales, in addition to allowing franchisees to diversify their menu boards under one management group.
FOCUS Brands bought Schlotzsky's more than seven years ago while Schlotzsky's was in financial trouble. It also hired Roddy to turn around the 40-year-old brand.
