Quiznos has announced a partnership with the ACA Group, the master franchise selected to launch the first Quiznos restaurants in the Philippines. The first location will open in Manila early this year, with plans for further expansion to more than 35 additional locations.
"The ACA Group is a phenomenal partner with well-known, established businesses in the Philippines. With foodservice experience and a strong appreciation for American brands, they have a keen understanding of their customer," said Lee Vala, international chief development officer for Quiznos.
The Philippines' large middle class demographic and affinity for American brands were both strong factors considered in the expansion plan.
"Quiznos' unique toasted recipes really appeal to the Filipino palate, and we are confident local consumers will embrace Quiznos as they have embraced other major American brands," said Dr. Amable Aguiluz, CEO of the ACA Group.
The ACA Group, a franchise organization and business investment network with more than 20 years' experience, has successfully introduced a variety of American brands to the Filipino market, including Johnny Rockets. The company was recently recognized as that brand's international franchisee of the year.
Through its international development initiative, Quiznos expects to open more than 400 international locations by 2020 in more than 40 regions around the world. Most recently, the company solidified an agreement in India.
