Pei Wei launches holiday campaign to fight hunger

Nov. 9, 2012

Pei Wei Asian Diner kicked off a charitable promotion as part of #GivingTuesday, a global movement to create a day of giving during the holiday spending season. Pei Wei is donating $1 (up to $20,000) toward fighting hunger in the U.S. for every fan that participates on the Pei Wei Facebook page from now through Nov. 21. Each participant will receive a 20-percent-off offer, plus an additional 20-percent-off offer if the $20,000 goal is met.

"During a time when so much focus is given to spending, Pei Wei is giving back with the help of our fans," said K.C. Moylan, president of Pei Wei Asian Diner. "We encourage everyone to not only participate on Facebook, but find additional ways to give back this holiday season as part of Giving Tuesday."

Fans who like the Pei Wei Facebook page and "Submit Pledge" by filling out a simple form, will trigger the $1 donations to fight hunger at local food banks. After entering basic contact information, a 20-percent-off coupon will be generated instantly, which can be used at any Pei Wei Asian Diner in the U.S. If Pei Wei receives 20,000 "Pledges" by Nov.21, each participant will receive an additional 20-percent-off coupon on Nov. 27 to commemorate #GivingTuesday.

#GivingTuesday is in its inaugural year. More information is available at givingtuesday.org.
