Moe's Southwest Grill names two new executives

Moe's Southwest Grill has added two executives to its leadership team with the objective of growing the brand to 850 locations by 2015.

Paul Macaluso has been named vice president of marketing, and Anissa Mandell is the new senior director of supply chain.

Macaluso joins Moe's from Sonic Industries, where he was the vice president of daypart and product marketing and innovation. Prior, Macaluso held various operations, franchise consulting and marketing positions with Burger King and YUM! Brands Inc. Macaluso brings 18 years of restaurant experience to his new role at Moe's Southwest Grill.

As vice president of marketing, Macaluso will lead Moe's marketing department and will be responsible for developing short and long-term strategic marketing plans to drive brand awareness and sales.

Prior to joining Moe's, Mandell was vice president of purchasing for Tappan Street Restaurant Group Inc., parent company of casual dining chain Taco Mac, where she created the company's purchasing department. She has 20 years of purchasing and operations experience from companies including RARE Hospitality and Rio Bravo International.

As senior director of supply chain, she will be responsible for driving all aspects of the supply chain function including distribution, product and supplier sourcing, and other key programs.
