Feb. 19, 2013

Madeleine Country French Café announced today that John Cahill, a 10-year veteran at la Madeleine, has been named chief operating officer. In his new role, Cahill will manage strategic direction of the brand while overseeing the operations, culinary, marketing and purchasing functions, according to a company press release.

Cahill joined la Madeleine soon after the company became part of Groupe Le Duff in 2002. In his most recent role as vice president of operations, Cahill was responsible for building the operational directors team, leading the refresh of 60 cafés and implementing a renewed focus on guest satisfaction. During his tenure, the brand experienced historically low turnover rates with both management and hourly associates.

"With 25 years of experience in the foodservice industry, John's deep understanding and knowledge provides la Madeleine with a strong foundation for the future," said Jim Vinz, co-CEO of Le Duff America. "I'm confident that the la Madeleine brand will continue to evolve and grow across North America under his leadership."
