FreshBerry serving up Digital Menu Me digital menu boards

March 15, 2012

San Francisco-based Digital Menu Me, a provider of cloud-based digital signage, has announced the systemwide deployment of cloud-based digital menu boards into FreshBerry Frozen Yogurt Café franchises.

Part of Beautiful Brands International, FreshBerry will work with Digital Menu Me to update their frozen yogurt menu-display units in real time, from any location with central management.

"With Digital Menu Me's cloud based menu boards, FreshBerry will not only have the capability of adding updates to our menu, we can do so, with dispatch and from one central location," said David Rutkauskas, Beautiful Brands founder, CEO and president. "This will allow for consistency in normal business operations and the needed ability to manage change in the menu and pricing without disruption and confusion to our customers."

Digital Menu Me has partnered with Revel Systems to use its Apple iPad POS system, and is combining Samsung displays with cloud-based technology. The system is aimed at restaurant and retail establishments to provide menu board and advertising display solutions. The digital menu boards are fully customizable with Facebook and Twitter, the company said. And the systems are inexpensive, with a $2,000 price tag.

By utilizing servers hosted in the cloud, Digital Menu Me menu boards have the potential for a faster ad option rate and they allow for central management of all boards, thus increasing rollout speed and causing fewer support issues. With Digital Menu Me, the digital menu boards can automatically pull in updates from the cloud or from the menu in the POS system whenever it is updated.
