TED has listed its top 10 most compelling ad campaigns of the year, as part of its "Ads Worth Spreading" initiative.
The Top 10 list included Chipotle's "Back to the Start" ad, created by Creative Artists Agency Los Angeles.
As part of its ongoing efforts to promote sustainability, Chipotle Mexican Grill produced the stop-motion animated short film that depicts a farmer's journey to sustainable farming.
In April, "Back to the Start" also won a 2012 GRANDY Award.
TED worked with Ace Metrix to test each of the ads with consumers to gauge a range of dimensions that included persuasion, watchability and emotional sentiment. The result was a qualitative and quantitative view of each ad's performance with a U.S. audience.
TED is a nonprofit devoted to "Ideas Worth Spreading." It started in 1984 as a conference bringing people together from the technology, entertainment and design industries.
Other ads on the list include Canal+'s "The Bear;" Engagement Citoyen's "The Return of Dictator Ben Ali;" L'Oreal Paris' "Aimee Mullins;" Mazda's "Defy Convention;" Microsoft's "Kinect Effect;" NTT Docomo's "Xylophone;" Prudential's "Linda;" Rethink Breast Cancer's "Your Man Reminder;" and Sharpie's "Start With Sharpie."
