ROCKVILLE, Md. — California Tortilla took home a Gold "Addy" Award from the Ad Club of Metropolitan Washington on March 19. The award recognizes the popular Presidential Burrito contest, pitting the McCain-Chilada Burrito against the O-Chili-Bama Burrito.
The promotion was revamped for 2008 by California Tortilla marketing team, led by director of marketing Stacey Kane, with support from BrotmanÂ·WinterÂ·Fried Communications. The award-winning artwork was created by Hirshorn Zuckerman Design Group.
This is not the first honor for the chain this year. They won two "RACie" Awards from the National Retail Federation last month and finished second in the food category for the Shorty Awards, honoring the best content-producers on Twitter, the fast-rising social networking Web site.
