The Counter Custom Built Burgers is making bison a permanent protein option on its 2013 menu.
"Bison has been a favorite choice of fans when we’ve featured it on our Market Select menu. Guests will now be able to build their own bison burger every day," said Andrew Evans, director of culinary operations at The Counter Custom Built Burgers. "The Counter’s bison burgers are made from certified organic bison that are 100 percent grass fed and antibiotic- and hormone-free."
The Counter’s bison are raised by Blackwing Organic Meats, which offers the only organic buffalo produced in North America. Blackwing bison are free-ranged on thousands of acres in North and South Dakota, are humanely raised and handled and are inspected by USDA veterinarians to assure each animal is healthy, according to a company press release.
