NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Bread & Company has announced they are lowering the prices of all baked goods and deli items by as much as 60 percent, a price point the company has not seen in 10 years.
John Clay, owner and president, Bread & Company, said he hopes the lower prices will not only encourage loyal customers to stop in more frequently but also excite new patrons.
"Many struggling restaurant chains are only offering short-running specials or coupons," he said. "We're not looking for a band-aid. We're looking for a permanent solution. If our customers continue to take advantage of the lower prices and commodities hold, we fully intend to keep these lower prices."
Customers to Bread & Company's four café locations can expect immediate savings. Most of the hand-crafted bread loaves — once priced at $5.95 — are now only $3.95 per loaf. Breakfast pastries, such as the chocolate croissant or cinnamon roll, are now $1.95, down from $2.50. And prices for deli sides such as the Almond Tarragon Chicken Salad and Waldorf Salad, have been sliced anywhere from $1 to $7 depending on the size.
